Jasmine:Picture Update: 10-10-2009

Palomino TB/QH yearling sporthorse filly, correct conformation, beautiful head, lovely mover with tons of potential.  Smart and willing with a calm yet dominant personality, should mature to 15.2-16-1H.  Current on trimming, vaccinations, and de-worming, started in ground training.  $500.00 adoption fee to approved home only.

Buddy:Picture Update: 10-10-2009

Bay TB yearling colt out of 17H TB mare (Mariposa)- this sweet boy is leggy and will be tall and handsome, should mature to 16-17H.  He is sensible and sweet.  Buddy has matured and calmed, and is fine behaviorally.  Current on trimming, vaccinations, and de-worming, started in ground training.  $500.00 adoption fee to approved home only.

Mariposa

Mariposa is a big and beautiful bay TB mare, just under 17H, approximately 12yrs old and sound.  Mariposa has nice conformation and would make an easy dressage or hunter prospect or a fancy trail horse for intermediate rider with a trainer or advanced rider.  She was track trained previously then a brood mare for a few years.  She is currently being restarted for dressage and progressing quickly.   She is quiet and sensitive and very willing, forward moving but not too hot.   Mariposa is current on trimming, dental float, vaccinations, and de-worming.  $750.00 adoption fee to approved home only.

Angel

Angel is a Chestnut TB mare, approximately 15.3H and ~12yrs old.  Sound and athletic, lovely mover with ground covering long and low stride.  She is still green and will require further training for her to reach her full potential, intermediate to advanced rider recommended but based on her personality will likely be a good beginners horse once fully trained.  Docile and sweet temperament, a bit shy but coming out of her shell.  Angel is current on trimming, dental float, vaccinations, and de-worming.  $750.00 adoption fee to approved home only.

Maya:

Maya is a chestnut with flaxen QH filly, 2-3yrs, stout and stocky, will likely mature to 14.1-14.3H.  Maya has been through a lot in her short life including an injury to her left front leg that has left her with permanent damage to her carpus/knee.  She is currently sound but soundness is not guaranteed.  She also has cataracts and is blind in one eye and partially blind in the other, the cataracts are not progressing and her remaining vision should not decrease, there are surgical options to help restore complete vision.  This sweet girl has been started in groundwork and trick training and is a quick learner.  She would love to be part of your family as a pasture pal where she can be loved and trained to her potential but not pushed too hard.  She may be sound for light riding in a consistent environment (no obstacles or trails due to partial blindness).  Maya is current on trimming, vaccinations, and de-worming.  $250.00 adoption fee to approved home only.

Zoe:

Zoe is a bay TB mare, ~12yrs, approximately 15.2H, with big beautiful eyes. Zoe is currently sound but has a hock injury that limits her range of motion and athletic potential.  She has not been started under saddle and is best suited as a pasture pal/companion.  She is smart and sweet but dominant in the herd and will require an intermediate to advanced handler due to improper handling in the past.  Zoe is current on trimming, dental float, vaccinations, and de-worming.  $250.00 adoption fee to approved home only.

UPDATE JUNE 2009 - A note from Zoe's foster Mom

"Zoe is one of the most amazing horses that I think I have ever met. She is kind and gentle and wants so desperately to be loved. She is very sensitive to praise and loves to be told how beautiful she is and rewarded for her good behavior. She eagerly greets you in the morning and comes running to you when she is out in the pasture. She would rather hang around her people than anything else. She is not afraid of much of anything and does not tend to spook easily. If something does frighten her all she needs is a little reassurance that it is not that scary and she will press on. Zoe's forever home should be with someone who wants to love a loving horse but understands that there are some things that Zoe is afraid of and those things take patience. Getting angry and frustrated at her does not work but gentle reminding and rewarding for good behavior has brought Zoe an incredibly long way."

Bailey:

Bailey is a Bay Thoroughbred gelding, approximately 15 years and around 15.3H.  He is a sweet and handsome guy who wants to be your buddy. He cannot be ridden due to arthritis in his knees (carpus’).  His right side is affected more than the left but he is comfortable overall and has a good quality of life as a pasture pal.  He is looking for a compassionate forever home.  Bailey is current on trimming, dental float, vaccinations, and de-worming.  $250.00 adoption fee to approved home only.
